  • Abstract
The electrochemical activation (EChA) of the aqueous solutions is employed in many technologies, for example, in agriculture, in oil production, in medicine. The EChA of the solutions are also employed for the intensification of the sample pretreatment in an analytical chemistry, for example, the method of the electrochemical sample pretreatment of aqueous solutions for the determination of the toxic metals in the natural water and sewage by stripping voltammetry (SVA). The reasons of the influence of the electrochemical treatment (ECht) on the analytical signals of Cd, Cu has not been investigated yet. There is the investigation of the reasons of the influence of the ECht on the analytical signals of Cd, Cu and the improvement of their reproducibility by SVA in the given work. It was supposed that the changes of shape of analytical signals of Cd, Cu and the improvement of their reproducibility by SVA may be connected with the improvement of the wettability of the surface of the indicator mercury-film electrode. The change of their wettability is connected with the change of the composition and the structure of the solution KCl after the ECht.
