Abstract
The design principles for real time microwave imaging systems with multiple-target capability in close range applications are discussed. Target movements in usual traffic situations should be recognized even in severe weather conditions. An experimental approach to the problem leads to a quasi-optical mm-wave solution combined with a FM-radar- signal processing to obtain image data of azimuth and range.
