Abstract :
This paper describes the application of object-oriented analysis to reconfiguration of distribution systems for power restoration. The Unified Modeling Language is used to describe classes and class relationships employed in the problem solution. Attributes and methods are presented for the classes and class diagrams are drawn which illustrate the relations among the classes. Class interactions and methods used in solving the problem are described. The solution of a restoration problem for a utility model consisting of 24,260 components is presented. The results show that the devised concept addresses reconfiguration requirements of an existing, large distribution system.
