Integrated metering products

During the last 10 years, the UK in particular has become increasingly interested in the introduction of solid state products within the metering market. Whilst this trend has not been seen in the rest of Europe, the UK market has made great strides within the domestic single phase metering area. Today, the solid state domestic meter makes up some 40% of the total UK market and it is anticipated that this growth will continue for many years to come. Here, the author describes the use of microelectronics based meters for such applications
