Abstract
The paper presents recent results obtained from a solid image modelling technique utilising line scan X ray equipment incorporating materials discrimination capability. A new technique has been developed for producing 2½D images from simple stereoscopic X ray images. This is based on the concept of equating the voxel structure of a stereoscopic volume in object space to a series of depth planes. The extraction of this depth plane data for more complicated radiographic images is still in the development stage
