Abstract
Described is a 100-300 GHz millimeter wave study and passive component development effort with performance demonstrated at approximately 140 and 220 GHz. Emphasis was placed on achieving low loss, wide bandwidth, and optimum electrical performance in these components. Approaches to the transmission medium and geometry were thoroughly investigated and analyzed to optimize performance, component integration and system feasibility. Specifically, the components developed included directional couplers, filters, circulators and isolators.
