Abstract
The paper presents some new results on optimal control for N-D general systems. Necessary conditions for the solution of the optimal control problem for a nonlinear N-D model are given. The results are obtained using variational calculus approach and especially Lagrange multiplier theory. The results proved their usefulness when comparing with particular cases presented by other authors.
