Abstract
The paper describes a new computer-aided procedure for analyzing the stability of periodic equilibrium regimes in nonlinear microwave circuits. This approach is general enough to suit many of the applications usually of interest in microwave circuit design, such as the search for spurious oscillations and parametric instabilities in several kinds of microwave subsystems. It is applicable to realistic circuit topologies and device models. The theoretical development is so formulated as to make the implementation of the method on a modern vector processor straightforward and highly efficient. This allows nonlinear CAD to be complemented by stability analysis in a fast, cost-effective way.
