Abstract :
Necessary and almost sufficient topological conditions for both node and branch fault diagnosis are presented and analyzed. The representation of the network through a pair of graphs constitutes the theoretical basis of the proposed conditions. These conditions are applicable to both active and passive networks. Examples are given to show the application of the proposed topological condition in fault diagnosis.<>
