  • Abstract
Teaching computer ethics is challenging in any setting. An online, asynchronous course on computer ethics has unique strengths and weaknesses compared to a face-to-face classroom course. This paper describes several ways to exploit the strengths of asynchronous pedagogy when teaching computer ethics, and suggests ways to deemphasize the weaknesses. Anecdotes are given from the authors experience in teaching computer ethics online to computer science majors.
