Abstract :
The paper deals with the three-dimensional reconstruction of inhomogeneous objects from scattered wave-fields. The theoretical basis is the scalar Helmholtz-equation and the corresponding Lippmann-Schwinger integral equation from which an algorithm is derived including multiple scattering to all orders. By comparison with the Born approximation the importance of higher order scattering contributions is demonstrated.
