  • Abstract
    More and more researchers from different fields find it essential to combine GIS data to do survey data analysis and multi-disciplinary studies. Spatial intelligence allows efficient data integration for spatial and non-spatial data, quick and accurate location analysis and spatial assessment. In this paper, we present an updated version of China Geo-Explorer, a web based platform for spatial intelligence, which integrates multi-source spatial data and non-spatial data from various fields including demography, business and religion, etc. The platform interacts with users through many flexible spatial selection methods to generate time-saving, easy-to-use, and pre-formatted reports as well as customized reports, provides different kinds of observations points on fields like economy and hydrology for spatial selection and time-series data visualization, comparison and analysis, and creates dynamic theme map on demand. Finally we discuss two case studies on business intelligence and multi-disciplinary studies as applications of the platform.
