Abstract
A wireless sensor network allows low-power, low-cost, and wireless multifunctional sensor devices that communicate over short distances and are small in size. In the following paper, a survey of WSN technology based reliable and efficient active RFID is presented. First, the accessible wireless standards are evaluated based on preferred criteria such as reliable end-to-end communication, low power consumption, latency, throughput and long range are crucial requirements. Secondly, advantages and performance issues of each wireless standard are presented and discussed.
