Abstract :
As modern power devices involve decreasing switching time and increasing current level, the stray inductance of the busbar connecting DC capacitors and power devices becomes one very important design of a high-power converter. This paper analyzes and designs a busbar structure in detail for prototype of the high-speed railway traction converter. The method of partial element equivalent circuit (PEEC) and the Q3D software were used to extract the stray inductance. A hollow-shape structure is presented with lower inductance than the initial U-shape structure. The simulation results are given to illustrate the effectiveness.
