Physical security-where are we going?

This paper reviews some recent developments in physical security technology. It focuses on those technologies which provides protection of premises (including large sites) from terrorist attack. Many of the technologies are also used in the prevention of escapes from prisons. Our aim in writing this paper is to attempt to see what future developments in this field may have in store; this may help us and others to see where our efforts in developing these future technologies may most effectively be directed
