Abstract
A novel "green" converter, matrix converter, is proposed in this paper. Based on the equivalent transformation of AC-DC-AC converter and double space-vector PWM control strategy, the modeling and simulation of a matrix converter are presented. Simulation results demonstrate its excellent input and output characteristics. All of these offer the possibility of utilizing the optimized power device switching pattern obtained from simulation study to the practical control of the matrix converter, which founds the basis for the further experimental studies
