Abstract
In this paper, with the application of energy consumption data in Xinjiang since 1952, carbon emissions over the years in Xinjiang are calculated according to IPCC carbon emissions calculation guidelines, the changes of total carbon emission and carbon emission structure and carbon emission intensity in Xinjiang are systematically analyzed. It is thought that the irrational energy consumption structure, extensive energy use method, inefficient understanding of the low-carbon concept, low-carbon practice system not fully forming are current and main problems of low-carbon economic development in Xinjiang. Low-carbon economic development strategy is proposed on industrial energy saving, building energy saving, transport energy saving, life energy saving and low carbon concept training and other aspects.
