Abstract
We have developed an original reconfigurable processor LSI for software radio systems of consumer products. The die size of the LSI is 5.65mm by 5.65mm. The processor bases on ALU array architecture and has original limitations of connections of ALUs. It has small circuit size because of the limitations. And it has high processing performance because it has multithreads. We also have developed a prototype of a broadcasting receiver with the LSIs. The prototype has realized the real time reception of 3 kinds of broadcasts by changing software with a maximum of 2 LSIs. By the development, we have advanced a realization of consumer products with software radio.
