Abstract :
This paper analyzes the reason for low-frequency oscillation based on characteristic dynamic equation of synchronous machine. It is reasonable that a supplementary signal to the voltage regulator can increase damping by sensing vertical axis current of synchronous machine. Excitation strategy of eliminating negative dumping was put forward and the structure of regulator was designed. The regulation method was capable of improving stability of power system and adapting to the variety of system. Therefore, a novel approach was explored in the field of excitation.
