  • Abstract
    Positive and negative C60/C70 ions were produced in liquid cyclohexane and n-pentane by charge transfer from radiation-induced positive ions and by electron attachment. Their drift mobility was measured and compared to Stokes-formula predictions. Preirradiation of the solution leads to the formation of larger fullerenes, the ions of which exhibit smaller drift mobilities
