  • Abstract
With the rapid development of aquiculture, the pollution from aquiculture has become one of the important sources of countryside non-point source pollution in Poyang Lake watershed, and it also brings about serious problems of water environmental pollution. Based on the census data of aquiculture in Jiangxi province which are the part of the first national pollution source census in 2007, the article analyzes the spatial distribution feature of aquiculture in Poyang Lake watershed, using pollutant generation coefficient and discharge coefficient to calculate the pollutant generation and discharge amount in the area of Poyang Lake and its five branches watershed such as Ganjiang river, Fuhe rive, Xinjiang river, Raohe river and Xiuhe river. The results indicate that pond culture pollution source is the main part of the pollution source of aquiculture in Poyang Lake watershed, and especially Ganjiang watershed is the most prominent. The producing amount and disposing amount of pollutants brought by pond culture both are the main source of aquiculture pollutants of all watersheds. The article also explores the environmental problems of aquiculture in the Poyang Lake watershed, and puts forward corresponding resolving measures in order to supply scientific accordance and theoretical guidance for the sustainable development of aquiculture, countryside non-point pollution control in Poyang Lake watershed.
