Abstract
This paper presents a design of workshop which intends to stimulate a student´s viewpoint for turning a tiresome landscape into a delightful new one. The target of the workshop are students of a branch campus of a university, which is located in a subarban area. The many students who go to the campus complain about the difficult access from the nearest train station to the campus and its tranquil atmosphere, although there are beautiful nature and restful places everywhere in the campus. Our designed workshop aims to give students appreciation to the campus through the process of creating a campus guide map. As a result of the workshops, students´ gained an increased appreciation of the campus. On the other hand, the geographical knowledge did not improve.
