Abstract
Hysteresis effect observed during experiments on the 170 GHz 1 MW gyrotron for ITER applications has been analyzed. Results obtained by using a simplified theoretical model and advanced code MAGY have been compared. The model assumes a fixed axial RF field profile, while in the code the full self-consistent approach is used.
