Abstract
Based on the research of situation of handicapped people at earthquake in Kobe and Tottori [1,2], we designed “Information Delivery System for Deaf People at a Larger Disaster (IDDD)” using on mobile phone and ad hoc networking technology with evaluation test performed at many different locations for five years. We confirmed that the size and color of characters are legible and recognizable. There are, however, many different requirements at the different demo location and attendances. However, IDDD is not enough flexible to meet every requests, so that we needed to modify software both in display controller and mobile phone application. In this paper, we propose a designing method to enhance system flexibility, after explaining basic idea of IDDD.
