  • Abstract
A spread spectrum (SS) modulation method of the forward channel in cellular systems is proposed. This method can be used to improve the transmitting properties of the forward CDMA channel with a given output power at the base station. It can map a number of forward CDMA signals onto a binary signal by orthogonally spreading sequences. The fundamental principle, performance and comparison with conventional SS modulation are discussed here
