Abstract
The ISO 9000 Series Standards form the basis of a new international quality management process. The standards provide models of good quality management systems. A third party audit/registration system has been developed to provide a mechanism for contractual assurance of a good quality management system required by customers. This paper summarizes the properties of the standards and the associated registration system
