Abstract
The methodology used by PacifiCorp to maintain and improve its reliability is presented. The document starts with the differing backgrounds between PacifiCorp and ScottishPower prior to their merger in November 1999. The reliability-oriented service commitments, introduced with the merger and new to the US, are then described. The challenges of delivering on those merger commitments, along with unresolved issues, comprise the balance of the document
