Abstract
The technique of intelligent ultrasonic pipeline pig was one of the important ways to inspect the wall-loss defects on-line for pipeline. However, a lot of errors or contrary results come forth when the intelligent pig inspecting the wall-loss defects. Aiming at this problem, through the analysis of ultrasonic echo to inspect the corrosion of pipeline wall, an effective method based on maximum entropy power spectral estimation has been put forward. Experiments show that the method increases the spectral resolution and the detection accuracy and is suitable for on-line inspection of pipeline corrosion and other wall-loss defects.
