In addition to the balanced scorecard, there are other performance evaluations of knowledge management approaches: knowledge-based economy value-added, economic value added, activity-based costing. These three methods are biased towards the financial level, and the indicators are applied to knowledge management evaluation. The primary role of the use of knowledge management pays more attention to improve the competitiveness of enterprises to supporting activities. At this time, we need a complete and clear evaluation framework and standards, which will be taken as companies´ tools to evaluate the effectiveness of knowledge management activities. This paper will make the balanced scorecard apply to the performance assessment of knowledge management on the basis of the analysis of the balanced scorecard and knowledge management.
