  • Abstract
We present a time multiplexed switching (TMS) architecture built from 2×2 optical exchange switches with feed-forward fiber delays for the time-space-time domain permutation in telecommunications. The multichannel time slot permuter is based on the bit-controlled, spatial Lambda network. For L=2l parallel frames of 2l time slots each, the multichannel time slot permuter has a hardware complexity of O(L/2(l+m)3) and a local switch control complexity of O(1)
