  • Abstract
    In this paper it is demonstrated that, for traditional two-level Schwarz methods, the coarse grid correction alone is not sufficient. A new two-level overlapping method coupling coarse grid correction with interface precondition is developed. Numerical experiments suggest that this method is much better than traditional two-level Schwarz methods.
