Abstract
This paper presents the test results of an induction motor drive with electrical two-speed transmission for electric vehicle propulsion systems using indirect field orientation control. The proposed method can result in a 22.8% improvement in acceleration as compared with the fixed stator winding method while the inverter power capacity remains at the same value
