  • Abstract
    This paper presents an interactive, intelligent and automatic web educational application for an academic advising system. The application is used to promote the learning method and enhance the development of students by identifying and achieving their academic goals automatically. Such new application assists to avoid the problems of the manual version of the academic advising system and automate the planning and scheduling services. Among many approaches, Artificial Intelligent (IA) has the most appropriate paradigm for building such application. In this study, to reach a degree of automatic advising in the proposed application, Genetic Algorithms(GAs) and Decision Tree are highly recommend which could be helpful for developing the short-term curricular schedule, as well as perception marks to the registered courses. The application has been successfully implemented and tested during an experiment with experienced advisors and 20 students in the educational environment.
