Abstract
Wireless communications has evolved to the point where it is universally accepted as well as expected. Wireless communications is not only for those who require mission critical communications but those who have a desire as well as a requirement to be reached at any time and any place that they choose. Finally it is a natural progression of the wireless industry to realize that ubiquitous wireless services are necessary for expanding their market share as well as increasing revenue. The challenges the wireless carriers face are to lower costs while at the same time increasing their margins. By leveraging the existing IS-41 network, carriers have the ability to meet these challenges
