Abstract
In this paper, optimization is utilized for fuzzy control system that automatically backs up a truck to a specified point on a loading dock. Particle swarm optimization with inertia weight (FPSOw) is used to fit the membership function of fuzzy system in searching for better decision. From the simulation conducted,it shows that the FPSOw is able to generate an optimal set of parameter for the fuzzy membership functions automatic adjustment and then the adjusted fuzzy system achieve better position for truck backer-upper result.
