  • Abstract
The major setbacks of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system are high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) due to the summation of the multicarrier signals and intercarrier-interference (ICI) which results in an error floor. One of the method to reduce the effect of ICI is to perform frequency-domain partial response signaling (PRS) on OFDM system. In this paper, the PAPR performances of integer coefficient PRS-OFDM system are investigated. To reduce the PAPR, clipping techniques are used. When the SNR=25 dB and bit error rate of 10e-4, the clipping techniques can reduce the PAPR of PRS-OFDM systems when the length of PRS polynomial, K is 2 and 3 but when K=4 the performance of PRS-OFDM degrades
