Abstract
The medical application of microwave imaging needs a commutated aerial array for the recording of the diffracted field. The system described below integrates the 32 Ã 32 reception aerials, the commutation diodes and the measuring device of the phase and amplitude of the diffracted field. The V antennas coupled with the slot-line are suitable for the miniaturization. Besides its small volume, this system offers several avantages : the losses from each antenna to the vectorial voltmeter are about ten decibels and the matching of the array is continuous whatever the state of the diodes used for commutation may be.
