Abstract :
An automatic detection scheme must be able to distinguish between the different types of linear features often visible in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images of ocean scenes. A recent application of the Dempster-Shafer method of combining information from different sensors to the problem of automatic ship wake detection is described. Applying this technique resulted in a dramatic decrease in the PFA (probability of false alarm) level
