Abstract
The authors investigate how the delta operator can be used in adaptive signal processing and its numerical advantages in identifying LDLF (lightly damped low-frequency) poles. A delta recursive gradient algorithm is developed, and its local convergence speed is analyzed. Computer simulations show drastic improvement in convergence speed over the q-operator-based algorithms for LDLF poles.<>
