Abstract
The author studies array processing of signals through channels that have a mean value and a random part. The transmitted signal shapes that maximize the ratio of the power in the expected channel output signal to the sum of the multiplicative and added noise are determined. This permits the application of noise cancellation techniques in processing the channel output to obtain an optimum array processing receiver.<>
