Abstract :
This paper discusses a method of increasing the detectability of small defects in electrical contacts through nonlinear reflectometry by reducing the influence of non-invariance of test signal amplitudes. The method involves registering both the object responses, and the corresponding test signals. It has been shown experimentally that detectability is increased by more than twice, and it becomes possible to detect changes in the transitional contact resistance of 10 mΩ and higher.
