Abstract :
It is important to study the mixture dielectric constant for proper design of an insulation system. All electrical equipment depends somehow on an insulation system to maintain current flow in the proper channels. A high percentage of failures in electrical apparatus is caused by electrical insulation failure, so the study of mixture dielectric properties has extreme importance to the electrical industry. A series of experiments have been conducted to investigate the dielectric properties of silicone fluids. Results of varying the test frequency, temperature, and compositional effects using various mixture proportions are used here. The measured results were employed to arrive at a unified method of calculating the dielectric properties and verified with the existing literature.
