Abstract
Resource-sharing and communication among workstations are main purposes of networking of computers. Based on characters and visual volume concepts of LANs, we present a new approach to applications of LANs-Interworkstation Reference (IWR), which combines two kinds of the applications above into one form. In this paper, the basic concepts about IWR are introduced and then methods of design and implementation and security strategies of IWR are given in details.<>
