Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel control system for microgrid operation and protection. Our microgrid control system has four major subsystems: static switch control system, power line signal processing system, magnetic contactor control system, and dynamic load shedding system. For safety operation of microgrid, we also develop a priority-based scheduler for the control system to ensure not only the faults detection procedure has the highest priority to be processed but also the fault signals have sufficient bandwidth to be transferred.
