  • Abstract
    This paper recommends a program-PRESC made by author. The program can be used to emulate the static character of distance relay or static character of some elements of distance relay. It is programmed with MATLAB language and works under MATLAB environment. Adopted the benefits of MATLAB environment, PRESC has an open structure. That means using PRESC, users can expand relay functions to emulate the static character of any distance relay freely. The paper illustrates several usage of PRESC, which include analyzing distance relay character, simulating fault-phase choosing element and simulating a fault-location formula using only local data. The result diagrams of these samples are also demonstrated in the paper.
