Abstract :
This paper presents the initial findings of study to investigate the grid-connected photovoltaic (GCPV) system using amorphous-Silicon PV modules in Shah Alam, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia during the first year of operation. The empirical relationships are presented in between the meteorological parameters to the amount of power and energy generated by a-Si GC system, and the utility grid production. The results show a significant trend in the performance model of the relationship between input and output for grid-connected systems to predict future behavior under field operations. In addition, the performance ratio and PV array efficiency against time also discussed.
