Abstract
The compilation of observed gravity data has to go through a vetting process to ensure that all the data to be used is errorless. The quality of gravity data affects the accuracy and reliability of the geoid that will be established. In this study, cross validation approach was proposed in order to qualify the existing observed gravity data. Therefore, the efficiency of the cross validation approach is scrutinized during detection and removal of outliers. Finally, new improvements are developed in the observed gravity database.
