Abstract
To clarify the neuronal mechanism by which the selective tuning of amplitude modulation (AM) frequency of electric organ discharge (EOD) is made across the electrosensory multiple maps, we propose a cellar model of basilar pyramidal (bp) cell in electrosensory lateral-line lobe (ELL) of weakly electric fish. We show that the selective tuning comes from the tuning property of single bp cell and the synchronization of activity among the cells connected with the electric synapse between them
