Abstract
Multi-code CDMA (MC-CDMA) was demonstrated to provide a simple, rate-increasing enhancement to existing CDMA systems. MC-CDMA systems suffer from high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR), and several authors have considered ad hoc coding methods to alleviate this problem. Here, we make a systematic study of the use of coding to reduce the PAPR in MC-CDMA systems.
