Abstract
Computer based and automated solutions have become an inseparable part of our lives. This ongoing progression has brought a wider range of end users among those who interact with such systems. This implies that automated systems must satisfy a broader range of expectations, needs and limitations. Despite the pressing need for more accessibility in such systems, many of them cannot be used by disabled users or those with special needs. The problem arises from the fact that such aspects are being typically ignored during the development or they are not being effectively applied. This paper provides a short report on the results of a research project for supporting the developers by integrating aspects of accessibility, and in general flexibility and usability, into the development process.
